LED street lighting fixture, with small dimensions and IP66 protection degree.
Aerodynamic profile with very small surface area of exposure to the wind.
Upper body and rotor in die-cast aluminium, surface finish with oven-cured powder coating. Extreme resistance to corrosion, abrasion, peeling.
Colour stability over time and resistance to UV rays.
Lower parts of the case made of ASA plastic, a material highly resistant to atmospheric agents and strong exposure to the sun.
The thermal dissipation that occurs by natural convection (without fans) is ensured by the large surface area of the numerous blades placed on the upper cover, sized according to the tests carried out on thermal stresses. This thermally controlled environment ensures maximum performance of the LEDs and the power supply, preserving their durability.
The IP66 degree of protection (from dust and water) of all the electrical and electronic parts is guaranteed by the 2-component polyurethane gasket, delivered via robot directly on the case, through the FIPFG technology (formed-in-place foam gasket) used in the automotive sector.
All external screws are made of stainless steel so as not to suffer oxidation in critical environments (brackish or other material).
The LED board made of aluminium alloy with very low thermal resistance, can accommodate from 32/96 LEDs for powers up to 218W.
Only high-quality LEDs (CREE-Philips) are used, with lumen output 110/130/160 lm/W in compliance with CEI EN 62471 for photobiological safety of lamps and lighting systems.
Colour temperature: 4.100 K; colour rendering (CRI): ≥ 75; luminous efficiency from 99 to 144 lm/W.
Available on request LEDs with colour temperature from 3,000 K to 5,700 K.
Secondary lenses in PMMA (anti-yellowing) are high-performance with a variable geometry photometric curve depending on the required application.
The anti-reflective glass protects the secondary optics from vehicle exhaust gases.
The internal plastic profiles exert a lateral cut-off to limit the effect of glare in remote viewing. Colour, texture and design of these profiles allow the recovery of part of the light emitted peripherally by the LED, which would otherwise be dispersed.
A special anti-condensation valve ensures the necessary air exchange, which is essential to prevent condensation (fogging of the glass) without compromising the degree of waterproof effectiveness.
The power supplies are highly performing, reliable and self-protected against voltage spikes and vibrations caused by vehicular traffic.
In case of ignition with environmental conditions outside the range of use, the control electronics intervenes by reducing the luminous flux until the optimum operating temperature conditions are restored to guarantee the safety of the system.
The internal power supply operates in constant direct current at 525 mA (standard version) through high efficiency electronic driver. The device is also available with settings for supply currents of 350 mA and 700 mA in relation to the desired efficiency / consumption.
It can operate with dynamic light intensity profiles (dimming) which are easily programmable remotely.
The radio wave (wireless) management system also allows you to receive real-time feedback on consumption and any operating anomalies.
The design of NetCityLed uses atmospheric agents (rain and wind) to obtain a natural cleaning action on the top cover, without creating impediments to the flow of air and water.
The slightly convex shape of the plan facilitates the sliding of any accumulations of snow and ice.
The luminaire is designed not to produce light pollution and the correct installation, which includes the horizontal plane of the LED on the road, avoids glare phenomena.
The rotor allows direct installation to arm and post-top (90 °) with the possibility of adjusting the inclination of the appliance in increments of ± 5 ° (for poles and / or arms with a circular section with an external diameter of 60 mm).
A safety system inside the rotor prevents the lamp from accidentally tilting during the adjustment phase, preventing possible injuries to the operators.
The coupling to the pole foresees 4 fixing screws (instead of the grains) in compliance with the most restrictive international safety regulations.
The Led board and the electronic board can easily be replaced at the end of their life with the most performing versions available at the moment, as well as individual items can be updated.
Total absence of mercury and other heavy metals from the components.
The components are made in accordance with the 2002/95 / EC regulation, also called RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive).
All parts can be easily separated to be completely recycled at the end of the product’s life.
The creation of the reinforcement has been designed considering the possible integration, with “0” impact, of sophisticated control electronics, Routers, Cameras, Antennas, etc.
Multiple factors allow to increase the savings that can be achieved with NCL compared to traditional lamp technologies.
Overall, the savings that can be achieved compared to a traditional lamp system range from 50% to 80%.
The driving current and efficiency are inversely proportional due to the thermal stress correlated to the current intensity.
At 700mA, LEDs generate greater luminous flux, however efficiency is 20% lower.
NetCityLED is an expression of the excellence of Italian design in harmonising functionality, form and details, defining products of high personality and high performance.
The most important performance indices depend on the thermal conditions in which the components operate: power supply and LED lifetime, LED efficiency, flow maintenance and probability of malfunction.
In NCL the thermal stress on the components is reduced to a minimum.
Lifetime power supply:
120,000 hours at 60 ° C – NetCityLED: 34-54 ° C *
Lifetime led:
36,000 hours at 85 ° C – NetCityLED: 32-50 ° C *
Maintaining luminous flux of the LEDs (at 25 ° room temperature):
70% at 100,000 hours – NetCityLED: 90% at 100,000 hours *
Failure rate:
15% to 100,000 hours
The Neutral White white light emitted by NCL is a light with a high degree of visual comfort.
The clear vision that one has with this type of light, increases the sense of perceived safety and facilitates the drivers’ response.
Neutral White light improves the visual comfort and responsiveness of vehicle drivers by increasing road safety.
The emission of light above the horizon line is zero, this is in compliance with the regional laws on light pollution.
White Neutral White light at 4100K (CRI 70) is the best compromise between efficiency and visual comfort. NCL can be equipped on request with LEDs with greater visual comfort (lower efficiencies).
Neutral White light improves the visual comfort and responsiveness of vehicle drivers by increasing road safety.
The emission of light above the horizon line is zero, this is in compliance with the European and regional cut-off regulations on light pollution.
Each lens illuminates the entire road surface with successive overlaps of “light glazes” (multilayer) avoiding sharp and contrasted spots or contours on the road surface.
These secondary optics are made of PMMA (Polymethylmethacrylate) highly resistant to UV rays from sunlight. The degradation of the lenses, in terms of transparency which would determine a reduction in the output luminous flux (yellowing), is irrelevant.
Advanced light management: NCL’s advanced electronics allow the flow to be managed with versatility, through pre-set, semi-automatic profiles or with remote adjustments in real time.
Minimum programmed power increments keep the luminous flux constant, compensating for depreciation over time.
This avoids initial overpowering.
Self-learning, virtual midnight and auto-adjustment of the profile to reduce the luminous flux in the central hours of the night.
Virtual midnight programming with custom flow reduction profile.
Possible external dimming with standard devices (astronomical clock or twilight and presence sensors).
Radio waves with a special form.
With remote management the settings of the operating profile are transmitted to the light point and modified in real time according to need (night-time events, emergencies).
In addition to the quality of selected components and the excellent thermal behaviour, all the products are subjected to rigorous control tests in the laboratory to minimise the risk of defects.
The advanced electronics has various self-protection functions.
Self-learning in the catalogue versions in which they are available.
NCL1 and NCL2 cover multiple application needs.
With supplies set up on project instructions, efficiency is further improved.
Given the long life of the components, as well as the excellent thermal management and its reliability over time, the ordinary maintenance of NCL is reduced to the periodic external cleaning of the glass.
LED board and electronic module are easily replaceable.
*For 350mA versions
The LED module and the electronic module can easily be replaced by accessing the specific compartment of the appliance. Each NCL supplied has a code to trace its optical and electronic specifications and to make it easier to replace the corresponding modules.
NetCityLed is the evolution of a project called TELECITY and which then led to the registration of a patent and to the production of the only device currently on the market able to integrate a plurality of lighting and connecting functions into a single “armour”.
The patent “Road Map”
The added value of the patent consists precisely in the constructive measures (materials, layout and assembly technologies) able to avoid the interference between the different circuits, to reduce the so-called electromagnetic noise, to guarantee the respect of high quality standards (it is the only body illuminating that can also offer connectivity and video surveillance services to have the necessary certifications) as well as the competitiveness and scalability of commercial offers.
Further extensions are underway.
The new “NCL 2.0” project will allow:
